Ina a world that is literally full of holes, it can be a huge problem if you are someone who fears them, as I'm sure you are aware. Whether if be a fear of small holes or large ones, the power of Hypnosis and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) that I use, can see you letting go of this fear once and for all.

The Trypophobia definition is an intense, sometimes irrational fear of holes, phobia of holes or anxiety of irregular patterns, or clusters of small holes or bumps such as the holes in a lotus seed head. However the phobia of holes can be much greater, including a fear of holes in the ground, in walls, trees, or other objects. It can even stretch to intense fears that holes may open up underneath a person which can create a fear to go outside.

There is much debate online as to whether or not Trypophobia ia a real disease. The American Psychiatric Association as well as other science organisations around the world would have you believe that it isn't and the term "Trypophobia" was made up on an internet forum and has no scientific value.

My stand is simple; it is irrelevant what you call it or if it has made its way to a professionally accepted manual. There are real people who have a genuine fear of holes and to them the fear is very real and that is all that matters. So while the scientific community fights over the validity of such things, it is my desire to help those who are suffering. My techniques work with the majority of fears and phobias regardless of them being recognised by psychiatrists or the like and people are living happier, freer lives without these fears.

Like so many fears and phobias, it may stem from a deep emotional trauma involving holes of some kind, possibly from childhood. There may also be an evolutionary link from the remnants of our primitive brain that associates holes or irregular patterns with danger of some kind.

Yes. If you suffer from Trypophobia, a future without a fear of holes is definitely achievable. There are a number of cognitive behaviour therapies that can help, some that you can perform yourself. The key is in changing your perspective of holes by changing your thought patterns.

Using the powerful techniques of Hypnosis and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), I will help you to let go of this fear once and for all. You can choose to either use the powerful online phobia bust program I have created or book a personal session with me by calling me direct or using the form below.

  1. Become aware of your thoughts and feelings around holes. Go beyond your initial reaction. Try and feel the feelings behind the feelings and the thoughts behind the thoughts. This can take a bit of practice but the more you do it, the better and quicker you will become. Simply interrupt your thought and ask yourself the question “What is the purpose of this feeling or thought?”
  2. Be grateful for the thought or feeling. This may seem counterintuitive at first, however our minds are powerful and often temperamental creatures. Everything your mind does, it does to serve you in the best way it can based on the beliefs it has. The reason you have this fear, is because somewhere deep in your unconscious mind, it believes that it is protecting you from something by making you avoid holes at all cost. By thanking and being grateful toward the thought and feeling, you are acknowledging this and thanking your mind for the great job it has done with the information it had.
  3. Let the thought or feeling go. There are many techniques to do this and a quick Google search will find heaps. The technique I have had most success with is to simply visualise the thought or feeling by giving it a symbolic representation. Then filling it with love and light until it is totally healed. Lastly cutting the cord that connects it to you and watching it drift away until it is no longer visible.
  4. Replace the thought or feeling with a new positive and resourceful one. Simply have the thought you would like to have instead of the thought you once had.
  5. Repeat every time you feel the original thoughts or feelings happening. The more you do this the better you will get at it and it is a simple way to change any thought pattern about anything you wish. Within a few months you will notice a huge difference in the way you think and feel about holes.
